Baja Brewing Company
Mar 5, 2014

LOS CABOS, Mexico - March 5, 2014 – Baja Brewing Company, the original craft brewery in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, today announced that Jordan Gardenhire, co-founder and brewmaster, will be speaking at the Latin America Food Congress, an educational conference providing product development and manufacturing solutions for the food and beverage industry. Held at the Westin Santa Fe in Mexico City, Mexico, the Latin American Congress is produced by Industria Alimenticia magazine.
Gardenhire's presentation, "Creating a new market and efficiency in small plant settings," is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 6, 2014
As a leader in the Mexican craft brewing industry, Gardenhire will discuss what it's like to open and operate a craft brewery in Mexico, the efficiencies of a smaller processing facility, and the recent introduction of Cabotella, the brewery's flagship beer, to U.S. Mexican-beer-drinkers.  He will also discuss how the Mexican craft brewing industry reflects the U.S. craft brewing market 20 years ago, and opportunities the craft brewing industry brings to Mexico and its economy.
Gardenhire recently spoke with Industria Alimenticia about the Baja Brewing Company, which will be published in the magazine's April issue.

About Baja Brewing Company

Founded in 2007 by Jordan Gardenhire, Charlie Gardenhire and Rob Kelly, Baja Brewing Company is the first brewery in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. From the start, the company’s mission was to bring a craft brewing culture to Mexico similar to that in Colorado, where Jordan, Baja Brewing Company’s brewmaster, first began brewing beer while in college at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
The independently owned Baja Brewing Company operates three brewpubs in Los Cabos featuring a lineup of eight permanent beers, plus seasonal flavors, on tap, all brewed with a Mexican twist. The brewery distributes throughout Los Cabos and Mexico City, supplying local restaurants, bars and liquor stores. Baja Brewing Company began exporting Cabotella to the Southwestern U.S. in 2012 and is now available in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
